Board of Directors

The primary role of the Board is to ensure the long term health and prosperity of PrimeSpace through disciplined corporate governance, investment acumen, property asset selection and organisational leadership. The key function and responsibility of the Board is to approve the business strategy of PrimeSpace and ensure that the strategy is implemented through consistent business plans. The Board is also responsible for the approval of all investments or divestment recommendations from the Investment Committee and the overall corporate governance of PrimeSpace.

Brian McGarry – Independent Chairman

Brian is the independent Chairman of PrimeSpace and holds extensive experience and knowledge of the property funds industry gained through his impressive career. Brian is a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, as well as being a member of the Australian Stock Exchange Corporate Governance Council.

Brian commenced employment with Civil and Civic in an account and financial management role. At Environ, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer. At Kosciusko Thredbo and Lend Lease Homes, his position was Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer. At the Lend Lease Group and through it General Property Trust, Brian concluded as Company Secretary. At Investa Properties, Brian was Group Secretary and Compliance Manager.

Anthony McDonald – Executive Director

Anthony McDonald is the Chief Executive Officer and an Executive Director of PrimeSpace and is responsible for the strategic and business direction. As CEO Anthony manages the pipeline of investment opportunities and is responsible for identifying, acquiring and structuring property investment opportunities, along with overseeing investment due diligence, compliance, risk management and the operation of funds.

Anthony is experienced in all facets of the property investment lifecycle from syndicates, joint ventures and property funds for both residential and commercial developments. Anthony has an extensive background in accounting, taxation consultancy, business strategy and valuations over 20 years. Prior to joining PrimeSpace Anthony commenced his career with Deloittes before becoming a partner with local Canberra accounting firm Cuthel & Bigg, which merged with WalterTurnbull in 2000. Anthony remains an Executive Director and shareholder of WalterTurnbull.

Anthony received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Canberra and is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Tax Agent and Registered Company Auditor. He is a member of the Institute of Charted Accountants and the Property Council of Australia.

Noel McCann - Independent Non-Executive Director

Noel McCann is an independent Non-Executive Director and is the Chairman of the Investment Committee.

Noel has an extensive background in the property industry, commencing as a valuer of real estate and land economist in 1965.

Noel has over 40 years experience in the valuation of real estate and land economic advisory in NSW, QLD and the ACT, and over 30 years experience in advising on ACT leasehold valuation and development planning.
